new horizons
This spring I have the luxury of being able to study art in Rome. I depart from the beautiful state of Maine in the beginning of January and will not return until May. My primary goal for the trip is to break out of my shell and push my limits. This sounds cliche' but I would categorize myself as a conservative individual, so yeah it's a big deal. For me this means taking risks; not being afraid to explore the world on my own, befriending the locals and earning their trust. This means not being afraid to fail. As this may be the only time in my life that I will spend four months as a Roman citizen I may as well make the most of my time there. I will also look to explore the rest of the country as well. Cinque Terre, Assisi, Amalfi Coast, Tuscany, Turin, Venice, Florence, are all places on my list to visit. I hope to collect some some cheeky token at each stop. Finally, I will be sure to take pictures ( hopefully a few originals) and report any successes and failures.
